Manual reports → automated school dashboards

700+ dashboards · 80% faster

A VBA macro and Power Query pipeline that turns staff spreadsheets into per-school PDF dashboards, filed by district in SharePoint.

  • Excel VBA
  • Power Query
  • SharePoint

Problem
School Medical Directors needed each school's health data (asthma rates, screening results) before site visits. Compiling it was a manual, file-by-file process, and 10+ staff editing shared inputs risked overwriting each other's work.
Approach
Designed a Power Query pipeline that consolidates inputs from 10+ staff into one dataset without touching the source files. Built an Excel VBA macro that formats a dashboard for every school, exports each one as a PDF, and files it into district-organized SharePoint folders.
How I checked it
Source files stay read-only, so every dashboard can be traced back to its inputs, and a single consolidated dataset removed overwrite conflicts.
Result
Dashboards for 700+ NYC public schools, delivered straight to Medical Directors, with report turnaround improved by 80%.

Gut-feel priorities → validated risk model

700+ schools · 6 weighted indicators

Co-built a School Risk Prioritization Model and independently re-ran it in Python before it reached management.

  • Python
  • Excel
  • PowerPoint
Read the case study
Problem
The Bureau of School Health needed a defensible way to decide which of 700+ public schools to prioritize, using several health and risk indicators at once.
Approach
Partnered with a colleague on a model ranking schools across 6 weighted indicators. Built a parallel analysis in Python to reproduce the ranking independently.
How I checked it
Compared the Python results against the model output and quality-checked the final ranked list before presenting it.
Result
A ranked, validated list of 700+ schools presented to management to guide where support goes first.

Spreadsheet guesswork → forecasting dashboards

+20% forecast accuracy

Weekly test-volume, capacity and staffing forecasts for a COVID-testing lab serving B2B partners and NJ public schools.

  • SQL
  • Excel
  • Tableau
  • Shopify Analytics
Read the case study
Problem
A biotech startup's testing supply chain had to plan lab staffing and inventory around demand that changed week to week.
Approach
Designed weekly test-volume, capacity and staffing forecasting dashboards in Excel and SQL, plus recurring KPI dashboards on inventory and lab staffing in Shopify Analytics and Tableau.
How I checked it
Reviewed the dashboards in daily and weekly team meetings, where the operations team checked them against what actually happened.
Result
Forecasting accuracy improved by 20%, letting a team of 10+ lab technicians adjust schedules ahead of time.

Market research → holiday pricing strategy

+35% traffic · +25% conversion

Competitor and consumer analysis behind a new holiday-season pricing and promotion plan.

  • Excel
  • SQL
  • Market research
Read the case study
Problem
A client needed a holiday-season pricing and promotional strategy grounded in market data, not instinct.
Approach
Ran market trend research and competitor analysis, and analyzed 1,000+ consumer demographic and financial data points in Excel (SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, PivotTables) to inform pricing adjustments. Automated the recurring reports with SQL and Excel.
How I checked it
Recurring reports were automated rather than rebuilt by hand, so stakeholders saw consistent numbers every cycle, 20% faster.
Result
35% more website traffic, a 25% higher conversion rate, and a 20% increase in ticket sales.

How I work

Trusted data

Pipelines that protect their sources: one consolidated dataset from 10+ contributors, and models re-checked independently in Python before anyone acts on them.

Automated workflows

If a report runs twice, it should run itself: VBA, Power Query and SQL replacing manual compiling, formatting and filing.

Human on the loop

Automation drafts; a person decides. I quality-check outputs and present them so stakeholders can act with confidence.
